When "Libra" flopped on musical charts and didn't make it big commercially, Blackground sacked Toni Braxton. Frustrated over the developments Toni filed a law suit on 12 January 2007 in the US District Court in Manhattan for $10 million, alleging "fraud, deception and double dealing" and mismanaging and destroying her relationship with Arista Records. She further alleged that Hankerson while managing her recording career at Arista put his personal financial interests ahead of hers and double- talked his way to sully her relations with Arista.
After dating musician Keri Lewis for four years Braxton finally married on 21 April 2001. The couple had their first child Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis on 2 December 2001. Their second child named, Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis was born on 31 March 2003.
During her concert in Las Vegas in 2006 Toni Braxton reportedly broke down in tears confessing that her second son Diezel was recently diagnosed with autism and lambasted that had the doctors diagnosed his condition earlier, he could have received help.
